2010 - hopes for the New Year

I am looking forward to 2010 (twenty-ten, sounds good does it not?). I am continuing my education with a class at Idaho State University NURS 610: Advanced Evidence Applications. This is a required class for nurses seeking a master's degree and I plan to use what I learn to improve the services I provide as a librarian to all nurses, and develop the foundation I need for research into how nurses select and evaluate evidence for their practice.

IHIA will have a new president. Liisa Rogers is providing leadership and direction for the organization beginning in January. I know she will bring a fresh approach to the newsletter and blog.

I am hopeful that we will see meaningful changes in the year with healthcare reform and an improved economy in Idaho. I want to thank you for making the past two years enjoyable as your outgoing IHIA president.
